What are the requirements to run Tokens?

Tokens requires OS X Mavericks (10.9).

What does Tokens do with my iTunes Connect password?

Your password is securely stored in the local keychain. All communication with iTunes Connect happens on your Mac. Your account details are never sent to our server. See our security page if you'd like more details about this stuff.

Can Tokens manage promo codes for iBooks?

Not yet. We'll be looking into this very soon.

Can Tokens do IAP promo codes?

No. This would be a pretty direct violation of the rules.

11.1 Apps that unlock or enable additional features or functionality with mechanisms other than the App Store will be rejected.

Can Tokens import promo codes I created before I got Tokens?

Yep! Click the add button and choose "Manual Import". Tokens can't tell if manually imported promo codes were previously redeemed, so only import codes that haven't been used yet.

Why don't some of my apps show up?

Tokens displays apps that are Ready For Sale, Processing for App Store, Pending Developer Release, or Pending an Apple Release. Apps in other states are not displayed because Apple does not allow promo codes to be generated for them.

Why don't my apps have tokens?

Only accounts that have the legal role in iTunes Connect can generate promo codes. To the best of our knowledge there is no way to assign this role, so you will need to sign in as the primary admin user.

Will Tokens generate all of my promo codes as soon as I sign in?

No, that would be crazy. Tokens only generates promo codes as you need them.

What do I get for free?

For free, you can generate, share and track five promo codes. If you want to continue to use Tokens after that, you can upgrade to the paid version for $19.

Can I see my original promo codes?

You surely can. Just hold option while you share, copy or drag the tokens. Sharing tokn.co links help the recipient easily redeem apps and they also let you track when a token has been redeemed, so we recommend them. But you're the boss.

Why isn't Tokens on the Mac App Store?

Our app communicates with iTunes Connect using a technique known as HTML scraping. This breaches section 8.1 of the Mac App Store Review Guidelines so Tokens would never be approved. Tokens is signed with a Gatekeeper developer ID.

How can I get transfer my Tokens data onto my new Mac?

If you copy ~/Library/Application Support/com.usetokens.Tokens to your new Mac and restart Tokens, it will have all the previous data.

Why haven't I received my license?

You should receive it within a few minutes of paying. If you don't, check your spam folder, then get in touch with us at support@usetokens.com and we'll sort it out ASAP.

If you paid by e-check with Paypal, your license will be delayed until the cheque clears. This usually takes 3-4 days.

Who built Tokens?

Oisin Prendiville lives in Dublin, Ireland. Before Tokens he developed My Artists. He hasn't shaved since beginning work on Tokens. You should follow him on Twitter.

Padraig Kennedy lives in Vancouver, Canada. Before Tokens, he built Mountee, Picturescue, and Buscouver. You shouldn't follow him on Twitter.

I love your icon, can I marry it?

Yes! Or you could talk to Darran Morris about designing one especially for you.

What are you most thankful for?

We have so much to be thankful for but we are especially thankful to Conor Winders for granting us access to Redwind Software's iTunes Connect account and its mammoth collection of apps for testing.

Any other questions?

We're pretty much always on Twitter.
